Applied machine learning research focused on real-world impact in search and rescue operations.
AI For Search and Rescue
Led the development of machine learning models for the AI For Search and Rescue research project at Cal Poly. Trained K-means, KNN, and SVM models on historical search and rescue data to identify patterns in missing person cases. The models help predict likely search areas and optimize response strategies, potentially saving lives through faster, more targeted search operations. Presented findings at the Missing Persons Conference in Las Vegas twice.
